The Iranian Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Support unveiled the Qasem Basir solid-fuel ballistic missile with a range of 1,200 kilometers.

The Qasem Basir missile is equipped with an optical seeker on its warhead and boasts a range of 1,300 kilometers. Utilizing an optical guidance for the terminal stage greatly improves the missile’s accuracy during the final targeting phase.

This missile does not rely on GPS guidance, making it resistant to electronic warfare. With a speed exceeding 8 Mach and a maneuverable warhead, the Qasem Basir can easily bypass Israeli and American defense systems.

The Qasem Basir is capable of identifying and striking designated targets among multiple options, hitting its target with remarkable precision—deviating by less than a meter—without depending on GPS navigation.
