Iraq: Drone attack on Ain Al Asad Airbase

ISWNews Analysis Group: Early on April 8, Iraqi resistance group attacked US positions at Ain Al Asad Airbase with a suicide drone.
This morning, a suicide drone entered the airspace of Ain Al Asad Airbase, and US defense systems were activated to intercept the drone. According to the US Coalition, the attack took place at around 1.46 am and the coalition was able to shoot down the drone.
According to data obtained by ISWNews, this is the 63rd attack by Iraqi resistance groups on US assets in Iraq in 2022.
