Abu Mohammad al-Jolani (Ahmad al-Shara), acting president of Syria, held talks in Damascus with Thomas Barrack, U.S. special envoy for Syrian affairs, and Gen. Charles Bird Cooper, commander of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM).

Abu Muhammad al-Julani, head of the Syrian transitional government, met with Charles Brad Cooper, commander of CENTCOM, in Damascus yesterday. The meeting included U.S. special envoy Thomas Barrack and several Syrian officials.

Admiral Brad Cooper, head of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) in West Asia, made his first official visit to occupied Palestine in this role. He met with General Herzi Halevi, Chief of Staff of the Israeli Defense Forces, to discuss regional security challenges and deepen bilateral military cooperation.

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) bid farewell to General Michael Kurilla during a ceremony in Florida and announced Admiral Brad Cooper as the new commander. Cooper had previously served as the deputy commander of CENTCOM since 2024.
