Latest news of clashes between Taliban and the government forces in different provinces of Afghanistan
1- Ghazni:
Ashraf Ghani has appointed Mohammad Daud Laghmani as Ghazni governor. Laghmani had previously been appointed governor of Faryab, but he refused to accept the governorship of Faryab due to protests from General Dostum and the people of Faryab.
2- Herat:
– Maulvi Bour, a Taliban commander in Zirkuh district, was killed by a landmine.
– Clashes between Taliban and security forces in Kahsan district. The district’s bazaar has been captured by the Taliban.
3- Kunduz:
Clashes between the army and the Taliban in Imam Sahib district. The Afghan military claims to have cleared several areas of Taliban control and inflicted heavy casualties on them.
4- Helmand:
Army airstrikes on Taliban positions in Chah-e-Anjir, northwest of Lashkar Gah.
5- Sarepol:
A mine explosion in the district of Sayad killed 10 civilians.
6- Badakhshan:
The Taliban attack on the Lapis Lazuli mine in the city of Karan and Manjan was repulsed by security forces.
7- Balkh:
Army airstrikes on Taliban positions in Chahar Bulak district.
8- Parwan:
Three people were killed and 13 others were injured in an explosion on a car carrying professors from Al-Biruni University in Bagram district. (image)
9- 210 Taliban members have been killed and 95 wounded in clashes in Nangarhar, Laghman, Khost, Ghazni, Logar, Paktika, Zabul, Badghis, Ghor, Faryab, Balkh, Jawzjan, Samangan, Baghlan, Badakhshan and Kunduz provinces in the past 24 hours, according to the Afghanistan Ministry of Defense.
