Chief of MI6 reveals: The fall of Kabul and the great threats against Britain
“Richard Moore” the Chief of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) and formerly the Director General, Political, at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, and previously the British Ambassador to Turkey, in his first interview said that the fall of Kabul by Taliban was unexpected, and was the result of miscalculation of the intelligence services.
Richard Moore in his first live interview with BBC emphasized that China, Russia, Iran and International Terrorism are the four big threats that Britain now faces. In his response to the question of “whether the fall of Kabul was an intelligence matter or not” said: “The assessment of Taliban’s advances in Afghanistan was a apparent mistake, but the fall of Taliban is not an intelligence failure, it is really overblown to describe it in terms of intelligence failure”. “None of us predicted the speed of the fall of Kabul,” he said. he believes that their only failure was “the assessment of the speed at which the Taliban would seize control of Kabul as British and American troops withdrew from Afghanistan was “clearly wrong”.
“Frankly, if we had recruited every member of the Taliban Shura, you know, the leadership group of the Taliban, [if] we recruited every one of them as a secret agent, we still wouldn’t have predicted the fall of Kabul because the Taliban didn’t.”
Mr. Moore added that there is no “soft soaping” that the victory of the Taliban had been a “serious reverse” and he is concerned it will be a “morale boost for extremists around the world, and indeed for those sitting in the capitals in Beijing, Tehran, and Moscow”.
“Iran is a major threat. They support Hezbollah, the political and military group which is a state among state, in order to create chaos in neighbouring countries”, Richard Moore said.
Following the withdraw of American and NATO troops from Afghanistan on May 1, 2021, the Taliban forces increased their advances towards center of provinces and along with the constant retreats of Afghan Army, the government of Ashraf Ghani was on the verge of defeat. Finally, with the entering of Taliban forces in Kabul and Ashraf Ghani’s escape on August 15, 2021, the pro-western government of Afghanistan once again, after 20 years, have fallen into the hands of Taliban. Many experts and medias consider this fall as a new project which is running by American and British intelligence services.
This analysis is rooted in the plans of western think tanks for toppling the states in Islamic countries and creating chaos in them, including Afghanistan, Lebanon and etc. This plan seems to be successful in a country like Afghanistan, and in other cases like Lebanon, because of Hezbollah’s presence, faced with failure for now. Hence the western Bloc with the leadership of US and Britain in one hand is trying to cover its failures with false analysis and misinformation, specially in Afghanistan, and in other hand tries its best to exploit the situation in its own favor. The question of the speed of Taliban’s advances in Afghanistan, and its influence over different parts of this country was an apparent matter and ISWNews long before have anticipated such a scenario.
How is it that the western Bloc with all its Think Tanks and field forces in Afghanistan couldn’t have known and anticipate such an apparent scenario?! The answer is clear: They are lying.
