Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan Ambush Pakistani Army Vehicle In Peshawar
A bomb blast on the route of a vehicle carrying Pakistani army forces on the Warsak Road in Peshawar left a senior officer of the Pakistani border forces (FC) killed and 10 individuals, including 7 Pakistani soldiers, injured.
Muhammad Khurasani, spokesperson for the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), claimed responsibility for the attack, and stated that 9 Pakistani soldiers were killed and injured as a result of the ambush.
Given the recent border clashes between the Afghan Taliban and the Pakistani army at the Torkham border crossing located on the western outskirts of Peshawar, as well as the recent attacks by the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan on Pakistani government forces, it is highly probable that the new attack was carried out as a retaliation for Taliban’s losses.
