According to unofficial sources, the Cameroon-flagged vessel MV Falcon—carrying Iranian liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) destined for Ras Isa port in Yemen’s Al Hudaydah province—was reportedly struck near the Yemeni coast. The ship had loaded its cargo at Iran’s Asaluyeh port on September 25 and was en route to Ras Isa.

Yesterday, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported an incident 116 nautical miles east of Aden, where the vessel was hit by an unidentified projectile, resulting in a fire.

Speculation suggests that the United States may have targeted the ship with a suicide drone or cruise missile to prevent its arrival in Al Hudaydah, though no official confirmation has been provided. The MV Falcon remains ablaze and has requested assistance from the European Union’s naval forces.
