Rising Tensions In Northern Palestine; Palestinian Resistance Launch Rockets In Response To Israel’s White Phosphorus Munitions
On October 15, Palestinian resistance groups attacked Israeli army positions in northern Haifa with at least 30 rockets. Following the rocket attack, the sirens were sounded in the occupied neighborhoods of Nahariya and other neighborhoods in the western Galilee region, located in the north of Haifa.
The Izz ad-Din Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas claimed responsibility for the rocket attack.
Simultaneous with the rocket strike, Lebanon’s resistance movement Hezbollah also attacked Israeli army positions in the border area of Hanita with a guided missile, injuring five Israeli soldiers.
According to Israeli media reports, the Israeli army suffered one killed and three injured in Hezbollah’s Sunday morning attacks on Israeli army positions.
Hezbollah issued a statement on the attack, announcing that in response to recent strikes carried out by Israeli military forces against Aalma El Chaeb and Sheba’a villages in Lebanon, the Lebanese resistance group targeted two Merkava tanks and an armored vehicle in the Hanita kibbutz with guided missiles, killing and injuring several Israeli soldiers.
In response to the casualties suffered as a result of Hezbollah’s attacks, the Israeli army used white phosphorus bombs during armed clashes in the southern Lebanese village of Ayta ash-Shab.
It is worth mentioning that the international organizations and the Western states have not taken any stance in the face of the Israeli regime’s usage of prohibited weapons against the Palestinian and Lebanese people so far.
