Russia appears to be trying to achieve three goals through mediation between the Kurds and the Syrian government. The first goal is to implement oil contracts between Russia and Syria in the northeastern areas that are now under American control. Russia’s next goal, meanwhile, is to resolve the crisis politically by involving the Kurds in the political process as a concession to the West to enter the reconstruction of Syria and eventually become a trusted mediator in the international arena.

Although Syrian Kurds, after expanding their reign over Kurdish and even Arabic areas located in East of Euphrates river called “Jazirah”, started the system of self-government under support of USA, but their relation with Syrian government was in the state not peace nor war. There were limited engagements between them for time to time but never became a full enmity.

Yesterday Donald Trump US President said in a tweet that “We have defeated ISIS in Syria, my only reason for being there during the Trump Presidency.” So there is no reason to stay in Syria, US soldiers to evacuate Syria.
