Yemen: Latest Updates on Battle of Marib, 5 July 2020
ISWNews Analysis Group: Following clashes between Ansar Allah and Saudi-led forces in the southern fronts of Marib province, Ansar Allah has intensified its attacks on al-Abdiyah district and repelled the Saudi-led force counterattacks in the area.
Due to these attacks, Ansar Allah have so far succeeded to capttr the al-Hamra area and clashes are continuing in the al-Waeil and al-Jaze’ areas. In the case of cleaning these regions, Ansar Allah will not be far from liberating al-Abadiyah district center.
In the al-Rakhim front, heavy attack of Saudi coalition forces have been also repelled by Ansar Allah.
Pro-Saudi media have claimed the shot down of an Ansar Allah drone in this front. Meantine, the Saudi-led coalition warplanes have also bombed these fronts more than 20 times in the past 48 hours.
