Iranian Army Unveils Underground “Strategic Drone Base 313” + Video
ISWNews Analysis Group – Major General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, and Amir Major General Seyed Abdolrahim Mousavi, Commander-in-Chief of the Army, visited the underground “Strategic UAV Base 313” in the depths of the Zagros Mountains.
According to Iranian military officials, “this strategic base has all kinds of Iranian combat, reconnaissance and suicide drones, armed with indigenous missile and bomb systems and electronic warfare systems. More than 100 Kaman-22, Kaman-12, Ababil-5, Mohajer-6, Fotros and Karrar drones equipped with all kinds of ammunition are stationed in this base. Also, Arash suicide drone and Omid anti-radar drones and various combat drones equipped with Balaban and Ghaem guided smart bombs, Shafagh laser-guided missiles and Almas missiles are stationed at this base and are ready to carry out operations.”
In this visit, other new achievements of the Army, such as “Heidar 1 missile” to increase the range and carry out long-distance operations by Kaman-22 drone and “Heidar 2 cruise missile” to increase the range and operational capacity of drones that can carry cruise missiles, were unveiled.
It is noteworthy that the Air Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran is one of the four separate service branches of the Iranian Army, which has several combat drone battalions. These battalions have the ability to carry out all kinds of reconnaissance, combat, electronic warfare, deception, suicide, training, support and supplementary operations with fighter jets.
