Israelis’ Raid On Jenin Leaves 58 Palestinians Martyred Or Injured (Video)

ISWNews Analysis Group – Early on July 3, the Zionist regime’s army helicopters launched a series of attacks on targets in the Jenin Camp.

Minutes later, Israeli media outlets reported that the Israeli army with the support of helicopters launched a ground operation against Palestinian resistance targets in the Jenin Camp.

The Kan Radio Hebrew reported that Israeli regime’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was personally following up the military operation in Jenin Camp.

Simultaneous with the Monday attack, the Israeli regime’s army officially announced in a statement that they embarked on initiating a ground and air military operation against Jenin Camp named “Home and Garden”.

Amir Bohbot, an Israeli military analyst, said that the military operation against the Jenin Camp is under the command of Avi Blot, head of the IDF Commando Brigade, who is also the Israeli army’s field commander in the Western Bank.

Certain Israeli sources said that the operation may take two to three days. Moreover, a senior Israeli political official told Kan Hebrew-language Radio that the goal of the military operation against the Jenin Camp was to end this city’s position as a safe haven for the resistance fighters and that this operation would continue as long as necessary.

Following a series of raids on resistance positions, the Israeli regime’s army and Israel Security Agency, better known by the acronym Shabak or the Shin Bet, announced in a joint statement that they had targeted the headquarters of Palestinian groups in the Jenin Camp.

Subsequently, the Israeli army claimed that it had targeted the command center of the Palestinian armed groups’ unit in the Jenin Camp in the West Bank with the use of its air strikes.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, on account of the Israeli regime’s military attacks on the Jenin Camp, at least 8 Palestinians were martyred and 50 others were injured.

Given the critical condition of some of the wounded and the continuation of Israel’s military operation in the Jenin Camp, there is a possibility that the number of martyrs would increase in the future hours.

Israel’s media outlets reported that the Israeli army had deployed and activated the Iron Dome mobile all-weather air defense system to prepare for any probable rocket attack by Palestinian resistance groups in the Gaza Strip on the occupied territories.

To address the issue, the Israeli regime’s army radio reported that a meeting will soon be held to assess the security situation in the Gaza Strip border areas; so that, if necessary, instructions will be issued to the Israeli settlers near Gaza to prepare for possible rocket attacks by the Palestinian resistance groups in response to events in the Jenin Camp.

Given recent escalations between Palestinian resistance groups and the Israeli regime, it is likely that following the new Israeli action, Palestinian resistance groups in the Gaza Strip would launch attacks against occupied territories and the areas would be targeted by Palestinian resistance rocket attacks.
