Terrorist Attack Near Turkiye’s Interior Ministry
Turkiye’s interior minister has announced the attempted terrorist acts near the country’s Interior Ministry building in the Kizilay region of capital Ankara, wounding two policemen.
ISWNews Analysis Group –Turkiye’s Interior Ministry said an attempt to carry out a terrorist attack against the ministry was foiled by security forces after local sources in Ankara reported gunfire and explosions near the Turkish Interior Ministry.
According to Turkish media, two terrorists with a car showed up at the gate of the General Directorate of Security of the Interior Ministry and launched their operations, during which one of them blew himself up.
Turkiye’s Anadolu News Agency reported that the Ankara prosecutor’s office launched an investigation into the terrorist attack in front of the Interior Ministry’s General Directorate of Security and issued a ban on the release and access to content related to the terrorist incident.
So far, no individual or group has claimed responsibility for the attack. No further details have been released in this regard.
