On the eighth day of the fierce conflict, Palestinian resistance fighters infiltrated some positions of Israeli army forces in the eastern city of Khan Yunis, located in the southern Gaza Strip.
Palestinian resistance fighters successfully destroyed at least three military and armored vehicles belonging to the Israeli army during the raid. According to a statement from the Izz ad-Din Al-Qassam Brigades, clashes with Israeli forces continued until evening Saturday.
There were no significant clashes observed in other areas of the Gaza Strip. Ground movements by the Israeli army around the Gaza Strip are currently defensive.
The Israeli regime continued bombardment of various neighborhoods in Gaza, and civilian casualties of the Palestinian people continue to rise.
According to the latest figures, 2,215 Palestinians have been martyred and 8,714 have been injured. On the Israeli side, the casualty figures for the Zionist regime in the Operation Al-Aqsa Storm have risen to 1,500 killed and over 3,500 wounded.
According to Israeli medical institutions, hundreds of injured people are in critical condition, and even with a cessation of hostilities, there is a possibility of an increase in deaths.
On Friday, the Israeli regime set a 24-hour deadline for the evacuation of civilians from northern Gaza. This deadline was extended until 4 pm on Saturday.
The Israeli regime announced Al-Bahr and Salahuddin streets as safe routes for Gaza residents to evacuate from the northern area.
At 7 pm local time in Palestine on Saturday, the Israeli army announced on its official Twitter account that their forces were preparing to expand (initiate) their attack.
The tweet explains that the Israeli army has completed operations to recapture and clear areas around Gaza and now, with extensive logistical support and completion of mobilizing hundreds of thousands of soldiers, they are preparing to implement a wide range of coordinated offensive operations from air, sea, and land.
There is also evidence in the battlefield indicating that the Israeli army has made necessary preparations for a large-scale military operation. It is said that the Israeli regime’s army has deployed armor, troops, and various field units around the Gaza Strip and is awaiting the green light from political authorities.
Prime Minister of the Israeli regime Benjamin Netanyahu visited military bases of the Israeli army on the outskirts of the Gaza Strip to review military readiness to begin an attack on the area.
