Palestinian Resistance Fighters Confront Israeli Forces in Beersheba
Hebrew-language media outlets have reported clashes between resistance fighters and Israeli military in the area of Hatzerim near the city of Bir Seb’a (Beersheba) on October 18.
According to local sources, there is intense fighting between resistance fighters and Israeli security forces near the Hatzerim Airbase, and Israeli settlers have been asked not to leave their homes.
It is worth noting that the Hatzerim Airbase is located a considerable distance from the Gaza border and even in the early days of the Operation Al-Aqsa Storm and despite the advances of Palestinian resistance fighters in occupied territories, there were no reports of ground clashes in the Bir Seb’a region.
The new clash shows that Israeli military forces are still facing serious difficulties in fully clearing occupied territories and areas infiltrated by the Palestinian fighters; so, it is possible that in the coming days we would also witness clashes between resistance fighters and Israeli forces in Israeli settlements around the Gaza Strip.
