Tehreek-e-Jihad Pakistan Militants Attack Mianwali Air Base In Punjab Province
Three F-7 training aircraft and one fuel tanker aircraft of the Pakistani Air Force were set on fire and destroyed following the infiltration of seven militants affiliated to the Tehreek-e-Jihad Pakistan (TJP) group into the military training base in the city of Mianwali, Punjab province, on November 4.
According to the public relations report of the Pakistani Armed Forces, this clash did not result in any casualties for the Pakistani Army.
However, Pakistani media have reported the killing of two personnel of the Pakistani Air Force in the clash at the Mianwali airbase. Furthermore, all the attackers from the Tehreek-e-Jihad Pakistan group were killed in this raid.
Tehreek-e-Jihad Pakistan is a faction of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). This group has carried out several infiltration operations into military bases and airports of the Pakistani Army in Balochistan and Punjab provinces, leading to heavy casualties to the Pakistani Army.
