Iraqi Military Spokesman: US Airstrikes Are A Violation Of Iraq’s Sovereignty

Spokesman of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Yahya Rasool, said on X: “These strikes constitute a violation of Iraqi sovereignty, an undermining of the efforts of the Iraqi government, and a threat that will drag Iraq and the region into unforeseen consequences, the consequences of which will be disastrous for security and stability in Iraq and the region.”

In the evening of February 2, the US aircraft launched a series of airstrikes against the positions of the resistance groups in different areas of Deir Ezzor province in Syria and Anbar in Iraq. The airstrikes killed at least 16 Iraqis and 36 others were wounded.
