Prominent Commander Of Kata’ib Hezbollah Martyred In US Drone Attack On Baghdad
Following the US terrorist army’s drone attack on the Iraqi capital city of Baghdad, Hajj Abu Baqir al-Saadi, one of the commanders of the Kata’ib Hezbollah (the Hezbollah Brigades) and the Popular Mobilization Forces in Iraq, was martyred.
On the evening of February 7, the US terrorist army drones targeted a vehicle in the Al- Mashtal area of Baghdad, resulting in the martyrdom of Hajj Abu Baqir Al-Saadi, one of the prominent commanders of the Hezbollah Brigades and the Popular Mobilization Forces in Iraq.
Early indications suggest that this assassination operation was carried out using a Hellfire missile.
In this regard, the US Central Command in the West Asia (CENTCOM) announced in a statement that in response to attacks on US forces, US Central Command forces conducted a strike in Iraq at 21:30 on February 7 that resulted in the killing of a Hezbollah Brigades commander who was directly responsible for designing and participating in anti-US operations in the region. The United States will continue to take necessary actions to protect its forces. We will not hesitate to consider anyone who threatens the security of our forces as responsible.
It is worth mentioning that this terrorist operation by the US occurred at a time when Abu Hussein al-Hamidawi, the Secretary-General of the Iraqi Hezbollah Brigades, had announced a temporary halt to attacks against US terrorists in a statement on January 30.
