Iraq Inks Contract To Purchase 41 Fighter Jets From US: Iraqi Government Spokesman

Basim Al-Awadi, the spokesman for the Iraqi government, told CNBC about the signing of the agreement to purchase 41 fighter jets between Iraq and the United States during the Iraqi Prime Minister’s trip to Washington.
According to Al-Awadi’s announcement, a flexible process for payment has been arranged by Iraq, and part of the cost of this agreement has been accepted by the United States government as a gift to Iraq. It is said that Iraq will receive these fighter jets in the coming months.
It is worth mentioning that the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) announced on Tuesday that the US State Department has approved a $140 million contract for the sale of aircraft logistics support and air force training to Iraq.
