As a result of a drone strike by the Israeli military on a vehicle along the road towards the Damascus International Airport, an individual was martyred and another person was injured.

On September 20, local sources reported the airstrike by the Israeli regime’s army against a vehicle on the road towards the Damascus International Airport.

Minutes after the incident, a field source to IWN revealed that the air raid targeted a vehicle, resulting in the martyrdom of a field commander from the Iraqi Kata’ib Hezbollah, identified as Abu Haider, and another fighter was injured.

The regime reportedly utilized two missiles to carry out this air strike. As of now, no further details have been published regarding the air raid.

Hours later, Kata’ib Hezbollah, one of the largest resistance factions in Iraq, announced that Abu Haidar al-Khafaji, one of its senior commanders and a military adviser to Syria was martyred in an Israeli strike in Damascus.

Kata’ib Hezbollah’s statement emphasized “We, in Kata’ib Hezbollah, will continue to support the just causes of the nation, foremost among which is the cause of Palestine and holy Jerusalem.”

On September 17 and 18, the IRI announced that it had attacked two “vital targets” in Haifa with suicide drones.

While Israel has not openly responded to the IRI’s attacks yet, it was blamed for several strikes and sabotage attacks that targeted Iran-backed armed factions in both Syria and Iraq.
