Araghchi: We Will Not Retreat from Our Peaceful Nuclear Rights
Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, outlined Tehran’s core positions ahead of the resumption of talks with the United States in Geneva. He stated that Iran is under no circumstances seeking to develop nuclear weapons, but emphasized that Iranians will never relinquish their right to benefit from peaceful nuclear technology.
Araghchi said a historic opportunity now exists to reach a major agreement that could address the concerns of both sides. He added that Tehran is returning to the negotiating table with firm determination and on the basis of previous understandings.
The Iranian Foreign Minister stressed that a fair agreement is within reach—provided that Washington prioritizes diplomacy and respects the rights of the Iranian people.
