8 Israelis Killed In Palestinian Operation In Occupied Al-Quds
ISWNews Analysis Group – A shooting by Palestinian fighter has left eight Zionists killed and over 10 others wounded in Nabi Ya’qub district in northern al-Quds.
In the evening of January 27, a 21-year-old Palestinian youth named “Khairi Alqam” fired at a group of Zionists in vicinity of a synagogue in Nabi Ya’qub neighborhood in Beit Hanina settlement in northern Jerusalem al-Quds, which left eight Zionists killed and more than 10 others wounded. Minutes after the event, the Palestinian fighter was martyred in an armed fight with the Israeli troops.
Following the attack, Israeli commanders and high-ranking officials inspected the scene of the incident. The Israeli police chief said that this was one of the worst strikes that we faced in recent years.
Minister of National Security of Israel Itamar Ben-Gvir also went to the operation scene and he encountered the reactions of those people, who were standing in the scene. The Zionist settlers held him accountable for the fatal incident and verbally attacked the Israeli minister. Lastly, the minister left the scene with strict security measures.
Similarly, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attended the scene of the attack after around two hours to get informed of the facts on the ground.
According to Hebrew-language media outlets, Minister of War of the Israeli regime Yoaf Gallant cut his trip to America short due to the attack by the Palestinian youth in Jerusalem al-Quds and he is returning to Tel Aviv.
The attack brought various reactions. Residents of different regions of the Gaza Strip held gatherings in certain areas to show support for the fighters of the Palestinian resistance movement and the successful attack in Jerusalem al-Quds.
In reaction to the Palestinian attack in Nabi Ya’qub settlement, the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement issued a statement, emphasizing that:
“We felicitate the heroic and special strike by the Palestinian fighters in Quds, which led to the deaths and injuries of the Zionists. The special operation targeted the brief existence of the Zionist regime and it forces the Zionists to become aware in their calculations of the fact that they will no longer live in safety. We encourage the Palestinian fighters to go ahead with the celebrated operation, which made the Islamic Ummah proud of Palestinians. We demand the freedom-seeking people of the Islamic Ummah to assist and back the Palestinian nation as well as the jihad and resistance movements, because they pursue the rightful choice and the only path to overcome the occupation and pave the ground for the freedom of Palestine and Islamic sanctities in the occupied territories.”

In this respect, the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas issued a statement, cautioning that the Nabi Ya’qub settlement attack is going to be the start of responding to the crimes of the Zionist enemy, including yesterday’s massacre in Jenin Refugee Camp, as well as a manifestation of the unison among the Palestinian people, when it comes to resisting and defending their territories and sanctuaries.
Hamas went on to mention that:
“The courageous attack is proof of the fact that the occupying regime is hapless and incapable in the face of the heroic resistance fighters and that the regime is disgracefully failed to sow discord among the Palestinian people. The massacre of Palestinians in Jenin by the Zionist enemy was responded to in Quds.”
The ministries of foreign affairs of both the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Turkiye sturdily slammed the armed attack by the Palestinian youth in the Jerusalem al-Quds, which left eight Israelis dead and 10 others wounded.
The armed attacks by the Palestinian young fighters in spite of the regular and endless operations by the Zionist regime’s military and security apparatus indicate that the regime’s security forces are facing major challenges in detecting and fighting the elements of these sorts of strikes. Moreover, the implementation of this kind of attacks against the Israelis will deepen the sense of insecurity in different occupied regions as well as intensify the phenomenon of reverse immigration from the occupied lands.
