Rocket Attack On US Base In Deir Ezzor
ISWNews Analysis Group – A military base belonging to the American military forces in the CONICO Gas Field located in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor Governorate was hit by resistance groups’ rockets.
On April 10, unknown resistance groups targeted positions of the US-led coalition in the CONICO Gas Field. After the attack, an American military official confirmed that one of the US bases in Syrian Deir ez-Zor governorate was targeted by rockets, and that they assess the possible damages and losses of the strike.
Hours later, local sources claimed that military aircraft of the US-led coalition reacted to the attack, targeting positions of the resistance axis in two phases in Hatla district in eastern areas of Deir ez-Zor Governorate. There has not been any information on the losses and damages of the attack so far.
In this respect, the US terrorist headquarters in West Asia (CENTCOM) issued a statement, announcing that a rocket hit areas near the military base in the CONICO Gas Field at 17:51 local time on Tuesday, but “the strike has not left any losses and damages.”
Given the stances and statements of the American officials in last weeks, it seems that a new round of limited clashes will erupt between the resistance axis and the US terrorist forces in Syria if the attacks continue.
It is worth mentioning that the resistance groups fired rockets and carried out drone attacks on the positions of the US-led coalition in the CONICO Gas Field, al-Omar Oil Field in Deir ez-Zor Governorate as well as al-Shaddadi military base in Al-Jabsa Oil Field in southern suburbs of Hasaka city on March 24, 2023.
