Contradictory Reports On Shooting At Mahmoud Abbas’s Convoy
On November 7, some local sources published a video, claiming that a convoy carrying the President of the Palestinian Authority has been targeted in an armed attack.
Initial reports claim that an armed attack was happened by unidentified assailants on the convoy carrying Mahmoud Abbas, the President of the Palestinian Authority.
Some Palestinian media outlets have claimed that this attack was carried out by a group called Ibna’ Abou Jandal (Abu Jandal’s sons), but this group has not issued any statement or message regarding the alleged incident.
Additionally, the news of an armed attack on the president of the Palestinian Authority has not been definitively confirmed.
It is worth mentioning that the group Ibna’ Abou Jandal had given Mahmoud Abbas a 24-hour deadline on November 5 to declare all-out resistance fighting against Israeli occupiers, threatening to stage a revolt against him if he fails to comply.
The positions, actions, and activities of Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian Authority regarding the Israeli occupation and other issues have led to intense dissatisfaction and anger among Palestinians living in the West Bank.
Just recently, hundreds of Palestinians took to the streets to condemn the brutal Israeli attack on the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza, as well as Jenin, Nablus, Beit Lahm, and Ramallah, but they were suppressed by the security forces of the Palestinian Authority.
