US Deploys Military Defense Systems In Eastern Syria
According to videos released by local sources, the US-led coalition has deployed new short-range defense systems at its bases in eastern and northeastern Syria.
A video published by local sources in eastern Syria shows that the US-led coalition has decided to reinforce the defense sector in its military bases in Syria at the same time as tensions between the axis of resistance and the axis of evil in the region intensify.
Investigations in recent days indicate that, at least three convoys carrying AN/TWQ-1 Avenger short-range air defense systems have entered eastern Syria. In addition to the defense systems, the US convoy also carried armored vehicles, including the International MaxxPro, the Oshkosh M-ATV, and the Hummer H-1 (HMMWV). The convoys are said to have entered US-led coalition bases around the city of Hasakah in northeastern Syria.
It is worth noting that the US’ transfer of defense systems to eastern Syria is not unprecedented and has taken place in recent months. Earlier, in November 2023, some sources announced the transfer of the “Avenger” air defense missile system to the bases of the US-led coalition in the governorates of Deir ez-Zor and Hasakah.
