The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the National Defense Forces (NDF) are developing momentum against Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) in the southern Aleppo countryside.

According to pro-government sources, the SAA and the NDF have liberated the villages of Abisan, Aziziyah and Rasm Khala and repelled an attack of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) in the village of Rashadiya.

Some sources even speculate that the SAA has advanced deeper into the HTS-held area in the direction of Alis, but this still has to be confirmed.

Meanwhile, clashes are ongoing in northeastern Hama where the SAA and the NDF are storming Um Miyal near the HTS strong point of Rahjan.
