Latest Updates on Libya, 26 May 2020

1. Tripoli:
– Clashes between the GNA and the LNA continue in the Ain Zara, al-Naqila, Kubri, al-Matar, Karizma.
– During the clashes in Kazirma axis, 3 military vehicles of the LNA have been destroyed.
– The GNA spokesman Mohammad Qanouno: During an operation in the al-Halah region, 15 Haftar forces were arrested and a military vehicle was seized.
– The GNA advanced in the al-Zahra region and suburb of Fatimah mosque.

2. Tarhunah:
GNA artillery pounded the LNA positions in Tarhunah.

3. AFRICOM released images of Russian fighters transfering to Libya. The US military also accused Russia of escalating the war in Libya and expanding the military presence in Africa.

4. Sirte:
GNA drones struck the LNA fuel tanker in south of Sirte.
