Latest Updates on Marib Front, 20 November 2020 (Map Update)
ISWNews Analysis Group: Following the Ansar Allah operation in west of Marib province, Maas base and Sanaa-Marib road are liberated from Saudi-led coalition forces.
With the liberation of eastern villages of Maas base on October 25, Saudi-led forces in Maas base were almost under siege and laid mine and traps around it.
Considering the situation, Ansar Allah command saw the retreat from the base is the best option to reduce the casualties, among other reasons, and asked Kataib al-Mout (Death Brigade) forces to participate in the operation. Eventually, as we observed in the battle field, the Resistance command launched the attacks in north of Raghwan district and Wadi Maas which resulted in Saudi coalition vast retreats from west of Marib front.
According to ISWNews Analysis Group field sources, in the last week, the ground conflicts were not high to reclaim the area but Saudi coalition warplanes bombed the area 33 times in the last 48 hours.
Undoubtedly the next target of Ansar Allah in west of Marib province is Saudi coalition positions in Raghwan district and there are talks going on between the tribes of the area and Ansar Allah. It seems the tribes will agree with Ansar Allah, otherwise Ansar Allah has a hard job to confront them.
