Taliban suicide attack on government forces headquarters in Baghlan + Images

ISWNews Analysis Group: At least four people have been killed and 28 others injured in a Taliban suicide attack on a police headquarters in Baghlan-e-Markazi.

The attack, which began with a suicide car bombing in the Baghlan-e-Jadid city, destroyed a number of armored vehicles and part of the headquarters. A number of Taliban militants then clashed with security forces. Local officials said at least four people were killed and 28 others injured in the attack.

According to the Taliban, on May 7, 200 members of the government forces in Baghlan-e-Kohneh city surrendered to the Taliban, and Baghlan-e-Kohneh was completely under the control of the Taliban.
Currently, Taliban forces are trying to seize the Baghlan-e-Jadid city, focusing on it. In recent weeks, Taliban forces have launched heavy attacks on Afghan Army positions in Baghlan province, capturing a number of points in the province.
