Ahmad Massoud forces attacks Taliban position in Baghlan and Panjshir
ISWNews Analysis Group: Due to attacks of forces loyal to Ahmad Massoud against the Taliban in Baghlan and Panjshir provinces, several of Taliban militants were killed and wounded.
On December 19, forces loyal to Ahmad Massoud under command of Habib Amin Andarabi attacked positions of Taliban in Andarab district of Baghlan province. 12 Taliban militants reportedly killed and wounded.
According to Kabir Watheq, former spokesperson of Panjshir governor, Ahmad Massoud forces also attacked Taliban militants gathering in Dareh Faraj in Panjshir province on December 19th. Taliban media have not responded about it so far.
On December 20, disputes between the Taliban and the locals were reported in Balkhab district of Sare Pol province. According to local sources, the reason for this conflict was the extraction and sale of coal mines by the Taliban. This was done in the past by the locals. There is no detail on possible casualties.
One person was killed in a mortar shell explosion in the Marjah area of Helmand province. Explosion of mortars and missiles remained from war kills Afghanistan people specially children regularly.
