Israeli Army Shells Syria’s Al-Quneitra
ISWNews Analysis Group – The Zionist regime’s army bombed the Syrian Army’s headquarters in Hadar town, located in the northern countryside of al-Quneitra Governorate.
Early on Monday, the Israeli army fired 12 shells to pound the Qars al-Nafl region in the eastern district of Hadar town in the northern rif of al-Quneitra Governorate in southwest Syria.
The strike has inflicted some damages to the military headquarters.
Syrian and Israeli officials have not yet commented on the shelling strike, but it seems to be possible that the Israeli army would claim in the coming days the attack has been carried out under the pretext of hitting paramilitary forces supported by the Islamic Republic of Iran or fighters of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement.
It is worth mentioning that the Israeli army’s fighter jets fired a number of missiles towards certain targets in southern Syria in response to a rocket attack from Syrian soil on the occupied Golan Heights on April 9, 2023. The rocket attack inflicted damages on Israeli facilities.
The belligerent strikes by Israel on various Syrian cities and villages have been carried out in the past years, but the Syrian air defense responded to the aggressions.
