Widespread Strikes Against US Occupiers In Syria, Iraq

The positions of the United States’ occupying forces in several provinces of Iraq and Syria were targeted by extensive attacks from the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella group representing several Iraqi armed factions.

On December 8, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq launched attacks against the US terrorists’ positions in Iraq and Syria. 

The onset of these strikes kicked off with a rocket attack on the US embassy in Baghdad. According to an Iraqi security source, the rockets fired towards the embassy hit near the embassy and this attack did not result in any human casualties. So far, no group has taken responsibility for this attack, but it is likely to have been carried out by the Islamic Resistance in Iraq.

Shortly after this strike, the positions of the US army in the Ain al-Asad base located in al-Anbar province were targeted by a rocket attack from the Islamic Resistance in Iraq in the first round of their attacks. Minutes after this attack, the positions of the US coalition in the Koniko natural gas facilities located in Deir ez-Zor Governorate of Syria were targeted by a rocket attack from the Islamic Resistance in Iraq.

In the second round of these attacks, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq targeted some positions of the American forces at the Ain al-Asad base and the Erbil International Airport with drone attacks. The Kharab al-Jir base (Rmeilan military base) located in Al-Hasakah Governorate of Syria was also targeted by a rocket attack from the Islamic Resistance in Iraq.

In the last round of these attacks, the Ash-Shaddadi base (twice), which is the US-led coalition base in the Al-Omar oil field in Syria, and the positions of the US army near the Erbil International Airport and Ain al-Asad military base in Iraq were targeted by resistance group attacks.

According to IWN investigations, this is the 26th round of attacks on US army positions at Ain al-Asad base, the ninth strike on the US-led coalition base at CONOCO gas facilities, the sixth raid on the Kharab al-Jir (Rmeilan) base, the tenth attack on the Ash-Shaddadi base, the sixteenth strike on the US-led coalition base in the Al-Omar oil field, and the twenty-second attack on American forces in Erbil province of Iraq during recent weeks since the onset of the Israeli onslaught on the Gaza Strip and the United States’ all-out support for the criminal regime.
