US Claims Ansar Allah Attacks On Commercial Ships Unsuccessful
Israeli media outlets, citing a US official, who claimed that Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement had attacked a commercial ship with two missiles in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait this morning, but the attack was unsuccessful.
The ship was operating under the flag of the Marshall Islands and carried some armed crew, while sailing from India towards the Suez Canal (possibly Israeli ports).
Furthermore, a US Navy destroyer succeeded in shooting down a suspected drone in the skies over the Red Sea.
The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) also reported two incidents and suspicious activities near the Bab el-Mandeb Strait and the coasts of Oman, supporting the claim made by Israeli media outlets.
Despite these allegations, Yemeni armed forces have not made any statement on this issue so far.
