Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, has revealed details of Monday’s operation by the Yemeni army against two foreign-flagged vessels believed to be affiliated to Israel.

In a military operation using two suicide drones, the Yemeni Navy targeted two ships associated with the Israeli regime, which were sailing in the Red Sea.

According to Brigadier General Yahya Saree’s statement, the Atlantic Swan tanker and the MSC Clara container ship were hit by two suicide drones. The attack on these two ships occurred after their crew refrained from responding to calls from the Yemeni Navy.

In this statement, the Yemeni armed forces reassured all foreign ships other than those heading towards Israeli ports that they would not be harmed and should keep their GPS tracking devices active.

The Yemeni armed forces also emphasized that they would not hesitate to target Israeli ships and those affiliated with the regime, and they would prevent the movement of any ships, regardless of their nationality, destined for Israeli ports until the required food and medicine reach the people of the Gaza Strip.

According to the analysis by The IWN, this is the eleventh official naval operation by the Yemeni army against Israeli ships or Israel-bound vessels in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea, and so far, more than 13 Israeli ships and those affiliated with this regime have been attacked or captured by the Yemeni armed forces.
