Israel Conducts Terrorist Drone Attack On Al-Naqoura-Tyre Road
The Israeli regime has carried out a terrorist attack by the use of a drone on the Al-Naqoura-Tyre road, which resulted in the martyrdom of three occupants of the targeted car.
On March 2, the Israeli regime’s combat drone targeted a car on the coastal road from Al-Naqoura towards the city of Tyre with a missile. According to media reports in Lebanon, all three occupants of the targeted car were martyred.
This attack marks the Israeli regime’s first attack on the main Al-Naqoura road and is significant in its own right, because this coastal road was considered a safe passage for non-combatants due to the presence of United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) forces.
It’s worth mentioning that the main base of UNIFIL forces is located in the southern outskirts of the Al-Naqoura town. Al-Naqoura town is the last town on the southwestern coast of Lebanon and has been repeatedly targeted by Israel’s artillery and air attacks since the beginning of the Palestinian conflict.
The headquarters of the United Nations “UNIFIL” forces has been located on the southern outskirts of this town since March 23, 1978. The mission of these forces is to confirm the Israeli regime’s withdrawal from southern Lebanon and to help establish peace and security in this region.
