ISIS Raid On West Deir Ez-Zor Leaves Tens Of Syrians Martyrs, Wounded
As a result of the terrorist group ISIS’s attack on the Kabajeb area in western Deir ez-Zor Governorate, at least 44 people were killed and 37 others injured.
ISIS elements attacked the outskirts of Kabajeb (Kobajjep) in Deir ez-Zor Governorate on March 6, targeting a group of Syrian civilians who were collecting truffles, destroying 13 vehicles. As a result of this terrorist act, at least 44 people were martyred and 37 others wounded.
It is said that 11 others are missing. The injured were transferred to the hospital in the city of Deir ez-Zor.
After the ISIS attack, the National Defense Forces (a pro-Syrian government militia) and the Liwa al-Quds (al-Quds Brigade) were dispatched to the Kabajeb area.
It is worth mentioning that despite the continuous operations of the Syrian army and its allies, the western areas of Deir ez-Zor Governorate are considered one of the main hubs for ISIS terrorist activities.
