Withdrawal Of Foreign Forces From Iraq Certain: Iraqi Official
The secretary-general of Iraq’s Badr Organization announced that the timetable for the withdrawal of foreign forces from the Arab country will be announced soon.
Hadi al-Ameri, also member of the Council of Representatives of Iraq, declared that the timetable for the withdrawal of foreign forces, including US military forces, will be declared as soon as possible, and that the resistance forces insist on their withdrawal as soon as possible
In this regard, Al-Ameri said: The decision to expel foreign forces from Iraq is final, and we will announce the timetable for their withdrawal soon.
Last month, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani and US Ambassador to Baghdad Alina Romanowski discussed the ongoing talks between the Iraqi and US Supreme Military Committees on the end of the international coalition’s mission and ways to finalize these negotiations to reach an agreement on a timetable for the withdrawal of troops.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) described the US’s recent attack as a “hostile act” against their forces, asserting the need to fulfill their national duty to protect Iraq’s dignity and sovereignty. They also called for an immediate decision regarding the withdrawal of foreign troops from Iraq.
People and resistance fighters in Iraq have long called for the pull-out of US-led coalition forces from the Arab country.
