U.S. drone strike targets senior al-Qaeda member in northern Marib

On November 3, American drones struck a motorcycle linked to al-Qaeda operatives in the Al-Shabwan area, located in northern Marib province. The primary target of the strike was Abu Muhammad al-Sanaani, a senior commander of al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula. He was wounded in the attack and died hours later due to severe bleeding and injuries sustained.
Abu Muhammad al-Sanaani held a key security role within the group’s structure. No photos or detailed information about him have been published online. His only known physical trait was a noticeable limp.
According to Western media statistics, the U.S. military has conducted over 380 aerial operations targeting al-Qaeda members across Yemen over the past two decades.
