Erdogan Threatens! Turkey Operation in Eastern Euphrates?
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday at an AKP meeting in Ankara that Turkey is determined to launch an operation against Kurdish militants in northeast Syria regardless of the outcome of ongoing talks with the United States.
He said Turkey will not wait for the outcome of their talks with the US officials over the establishment of a safe zone in northern Syria and is determined to clear its border and east of the Euphrates from what he described as a “terror corridor”.
According to available information, during the recent week, the activities of the Turkish army have increased significantly on the northern borders of Syria and local sources have reported the deployment of new forces and equipment in the area.
