It seems that in addition to economic reason and lack of confronting the corruption remained from Hariri’s administration in Lebanon’s recent protests, Arabic-Western axis are diverting the attention of opposition of the deal of the century, including Lebanon, to domestic problems and destabilizing them.
It is obvious that one main reason for protests in Iraq and Lebanon are economic and social challenges, however, turning them into riots by militants with masks and spreading money between them by Saudi and US embassies left no doubt about intervention of Arabic-Western axis in the riots. These interventions in Iraq and Lebanon were partially similar and partially different. Some similar moves in both countries count as blocking roads and destroying offices and staining figures close to the resistance axis.
Endeavor to destabilize and weaken Lebanon after failure in forming a favorable government
Lebanon being a key state in fighting Zionist was constantly under pressure by Arabic-Western axis to change the power balance toward anti-resistance. Sometimes by direct confrontation and leaving Hezbollah alone facing armed to the teeth Zionist army and sometimes by conditioning the IMF loan to disarming Hezbollah and threatening to cut the funds and military aids of USA and Saudi Arabia and now by imposing riots and civil war after all the previous methods failed.
USA and Saudi Arabia, which are the main supporters of Israel in Lebanon, failed to form a favorable anti-Hezbollah government in Lebanon. Actually Hassan Diab’s administration, who is a figure supporting the resistance, even turned down IMF loan conditioned to disarming Hezbollah, therefore, they wanted to bring the fight to the streets of Beirut to get what they want.
Endeavor to change the power balance by crushing and weakening Hezbollah domestically and internationally
In this scenario, Hezbollah should be crushed as the symbol of support for Palestinians and resistance in Lebanon. Therefore, some militants dressed similar to Hezbollah uniform and start to confront protesting people. The plan failed by Nasrollah’s smart stance to support the protestors of Hariri’s administration. At the same time in international society Hezbollah was put in terrorist list by some western countries, the most recent being Germany along with attacking to mosques and Shias centers, against all human rights laws.
The project of destabilizing or statelessness in Lebanon to protect the deal of the century
Lebanon should pay for confronting the American-Zionist deal of the century. Iraq and Lebanon are the most important members of Arab League who opposed the deal of the century. Therefore the enemy is trying to make Lebanon busy with domestic issues and dividing Lebanese forces to prevent it from interfering in the deal of the century. Even making the Lebanon without administration is to put the country in turmoils so nothing can be heard from Lebanon internationally. So far Lebanon could stand against this plan by uniting the political groups inside but they don’t have any other way out of it but to fix the economic problems and cut their dependency on Arabic-Western axis.
It seems to keep its unity and dependency, Lebanon needs to start economic reforms, cut the Monopoly of some political groups, create new resources for development and cut the dependency on USA and Saudi Arabia. In this sense extracting oil and gas from its vast resources and resisting against pressures by USA and Israel are inevitable.
