Video: What is the volume of US arms exports from 1950 to 2017?
In this video, you can see a report on the volume of US military arms exports to different countries of the world during the last 67 years.
The United States is the world’s largest exporter of military weapons, according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (Sipri).
The United States exported most of its weapons to France, Britain, Germany, Italy, Canada, Taiwan, Japan, and Turkey in the 1950s. In the 1960s, Germany and in the 1970s Iran and the Israeli regime imported the largest volume of weapons from the United States. In the 1980s, Japan and Saudi Arabia surpassed Israel and this trend continued until 2000.
The first decade of the twentieth century saw the largest volume of US arms imports to South Korea and the Israeli regime, and this figure from 2010 to 2017 was changed to Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia and the UAE, along with Australia.
According to the latest survey by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (Sipri), the United States accounts for 37% of world arms sales (from 2016 to 2020), with widespread arms sales to 96 countries. Russia with 20% and France with 8% are the other largest sellers of military weapons in the world.
The United States is the world’s largest arms exporter, and in addition to attracting the world’s wealthy military capital, it has been successful in provoking tensions and wars between countries from Europe and Asia to Africa and Central America. Continued conflict and war in West Asia will lead to more US arms sales and will directly and indirectly help the US economy.
