Syria: Turkish Militants Arrests 17 Civilians In Afrin
ISWNews Analysis Group – Turkiye-backed militant groups arrested 17 civilians residents in Afrin city, northern Syria, over the past 10 days.
From the beginning of the New Year up to now, the militants nabbed 17 civilians, including two women, in Afrin city in Idlib Governorate under different excuses such as being opponent to the armed groups or cooperating with the Kurdish militants.
The Syrian city and its outskirts have been under the control of the Turkiye-backed militias since March 2018. Following the takeover, the city and its outskirts witnessed several arrests by the armed groups. On January 5, the militias detained two civilian men named Mahir Muhamed Shikh Seidi and Adnan Muhamed Rashid from Shikhotka village in Maabatli district, northwestern Afrin, under unknown pretexts.
