Israeli Air Strikes On Airports In Syria’s Damascus, Aleppo
Fighter jets of the Israeli regime’s army fired several missiles at airports in Aleppo and Damascus, Syria and put the airports out of the service.
On October 12, Israeli army’s fighter jets targeted airports in the Syrian governorates of Aleppo and Damascus.
According to preliminary information, the two airports are said to have been taken out of service, because the air strikes caused damages to the airport runways in Damascus and Aleppo governorates.
Following an Israeli airstrike on Damascus airport, a Mahan Air Airbus A340-313 aircraft bound for Damascus changed course and returned from Syrian skies towards Iran’s air space.
No further details have been released so far, but following the circulation of news stories about the Israeli air strike on Syria, some Hebrew-language media outlets immediately reported that the air strikes were aimed at disrupting and halting the process of any assistance and support from Iran to its allies in the region.
