US Warship Downed Yemeni Missiles In The Red Sea
On October 19, a US Navy warship intercepted and destroyed several missiles and drones reportedly fired by the Yemeni Ansar Allah in the Red Sea.
According to reports, the USS Carney Arleigh Burke-class destroyer was attacked by several missiles from the coast of Yemen, but the warship managed to counter these attacks. However, contrary to this claim, a U.S. official stated that it did not appear that the warship was the target.
Israeli media also claimed that this attack was carried out with three missiles and a number of suicide drones, and it was probably aimed at attacking targets in the south of occupied Palestine. The American warship was in the northern half of the Red Sea when the attack occurred and managed to intercept the missiles.
“We cannot say for certain what these missiles and drones were targeting, but they were launched from Yemen heading north along the Red Sea, potentially towards targets in Israel,” Brigadier General Patrick Ryder, the Pentagon spokesman told reporters.
According to the data that ISWNEWS posses, the US and Israeli media’s claims about Ansar Allah’s attack on targets in the south of occupied Palestine are contradictory and far from reality. According to the claims, if the Yemeni armed forces want to use a cruise missile to attack the south of Israel, considering the longest-range cruise missile of Ansar Allah, which has a range of 1,650 kilometers, the cruise missile must directly pass through the sky of Saudi Arabia. Considering the current relations between Yemen and Saudi Arabia, this issue is almost impossible. If cruise missiles and suicide drones are used along the Read Sea, the aforementioned weapons do not have enough range to cross the Red Sea to the south of Palestine. Unless Ansar Allah shoots its drones from the water, but such a capability has not been seen from the boats of the Yemeni Navy so far. Therefore, the US and Israeli media’s claims about Ansar Allah’s attack on Israel is not true, and it is very likely that the target of the attack was the US military ships in the northern Red Sea, and it was carried out with a limited number of cruise missiles or suicide drones.
So, if this claim is true, Ansar Allah probably used Qods 3, Qods Z-0 cruise missiles or the new Sayad cruise missile.
