US: Russia can no longer deny its presence in Libya!
Following the release of satellite images of the presence of Russian fighter jets at the airport under the control of General Haftar in Libya, a new media controversy over Libya has begun.
In recent week, the Government of National Accord (GNA) officials have stated that the Libyan National Army (LNA) has received several Russian fighter jets, followed by satellite images of al-Jufra Airbase 230 km south of Sirte, where several Russian fighter jets were present at the airport. Following the news, Libyan National Army (LNA) officials, led by General Haftar, announced that the largest air operation of the LNA against the GNA forces will begin soon.
Meanwhile, the US Terrorist Army Command Center in Africa (AFRICOM) today issued a statement protesting and warning Russian fighter jets in Libya and Russia’s involvement in the Libyan war.
The United States said in a statement that Russia had transferred several fighter jets from a base in Russia to Hamimim in Syria and they were repainted to camouflage their Russian origin and transferred to Libya. The statement added that Russia does not care about the Libyan people and only cares about its interests and goals, and Russia’s actions in Libya will prolong the war and increase casualties, and if Russia finds a stable foothold in Libya, it will create very real security concerns on Europe’s southern flank.
Apart from the accuracy of the US claim that the fighter jets were sent by Russia; these comments are made by the United States while the current terrible situation in Libya is in fact the result of a war waged by NATO and the United States to change the regime in Libya, and it dragged the Libyan people into a never-ending whirlwind of discord and division. The “regime change policy” that the United States has been implementing for years in West Asian countries and resulted in nothing but just killing, chaos, and only to achieve America’s goals.
It is not surprising that Russia is pursuing its own interests, and that the presence of the Russians in Libya is not just for benevolence but it is for interest and strategic goals. Because Russia has acted with the same policy in all its movements in the region and even in Syria.
Russia will not be present where it does not benefit it; But it is ridiculous that the United States, with such a history of “violation”, “aggression” and “greed”, has taken the gesture of benevolence and is talking about the occupation and greed of another country!
