Drone attack on an oil tanker off Syrian coast

ISWNews Analysis Group: An oil tanker was attacked by an unidentified drone off the coast of Syria.
The Syrian Ministry of Oil confirmed the drone attack on a tanker off the coast of Banias in Tartus province and announced that the ship had caught fire.
Some media outlets have claimed that the tanker belonged to Iran, but Iranian officials have not yet commented. However the attack was most likely carried out by Israeli drones.
