Iranian oil tankers reached the shores of Syria

ISWNews Analysis Group: On September 12, another Iranian tankers carrying Lebanese fuel arrived in the Syrian port of Banias.

Lebanese Hezbollah has made the necessary arrangements with the Syrian government regarding the mooring of Iranian tankers in the port of Banias and the ground transfer of fuel to Lebanon. It was decided that the cargo of this tankers, which is crude oil, would be refined at the Syrian Homs refinery and transported to Lebanon by land by fuel tankers.

It should be noted that the cargo of this ships were purchased from Iran at the suggestion of Lebanese Hezbollah and by Lebanese Shiite traders to solve the Lebanese fuel crisis. Lebanon does not have an active oil refinery, and crude oil is first processed in Syria and then shipped to Lebanon.
