Military Knowledge: Toofan MRAP Armored Vehicle
Toofan Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle is an armored vehicle made in Iran and was put on public display at the IPAS exhibition in 2016 and was finally officially unveiled on November 20, 2018.
Toofan MRAP is an Iranian ambush protected vehicle capable of withstanding land mines and improvised explosive devices up to 6 to 8 kg of TNT and outfitted with STANAG 3 protection. The V-shaped chassis of this MRAP is monocoque, which means that the chassis and the body are integrated.
It can carry up to 10 personnel and is equipped with run-flat tires which enables it to drive for 50 kilometers with a flat tire. It can also drive at speeds of up to 100 km/h.
