Yemen: Saudi coalition attacks Ansar Allah positions in southern Marib
ISWNews Analysis Group: Mansour Hadi forces, backed by Saudi coalition warplanes attacked Ansar Allah positions in the south of Marib province and captured the Rahbah district center, and several other villages.
After a surprise attack by Saudi-led forces on the southern front of Marib province, Ansar Allah forces retreated from the Rahba district center to the southern areas, which have more defensive fortifications. The clashes were limited due to the retreat of Ansar Allah and the two sides did not suffer much casualties.
According to ISWNews field source, Ansar Allah is preparing to retake the Rahba district center and other areas along the axis. Therefore, it is expected that the southern front of Marib will soon witness heavy fighting and airstrikes by Saudi-led warplanes.
According to ISWNews field source, the attack was carried out by the Saudi-led forces from the district of Harib and east of al-Sadarah town.
Currently, the areas of Majaza’, al-Hamr mountain, al-Sadarah and al-Sabil and several other areas in the same area are under the control of the Saudi coalition. Clashes are also taking place in the areas of Rahum, ‘Araftan, Najd al-Majma’ah and Marib Road. Saudi coalition warplanes have also bombed Rahbah and Maheliyah fronts more than 11 times in the past 48 hours.
