Iraq: Foiled rocket attack on Bashiqah base

On September 15, Iraqi Army forces discovered eight rockets ready to fire at the Turkish Bashiqah military base in the Zelkan area north of Mosul. Necessary investigations have been started to identify the factors related to this case.

It is worth mentioning that last month, in the last hours of August 12, the Turkish army Ba’ashiqa base in the Zelkan area, north of Mosul, was targeted by a rocket and one of the Turkish army forces was killed in the attack. Turkey blamed the PKK for the attack.
